Azure & cloud consulting

Know what your cloud costs, and why.

A fixed-price Azure review for small businesses: where the money goes, whether the setup is sound and what to fix first. Written down in plain English, with no obligation to hire us for the fixes.

Azure first; AWS and Google Cloud too. In person in Midlothian, Chesterfield and Richmond, and remote across the U.S.

  • Microsoft-certifiedAzure Solutions Architect Expert and Azure Administrator Associate. Verify the Architect Expert credential on Microsoft Learn ↗
  • AWS and Google Cloud tooThe same review applies in AWS and Google Cloud, quoted around your accounts.
  • Review and hand overWe do not sell managed services or 24/7 support. Your accounts stay yours.

Questions owners bring us first.

What we look at.

Every review is scoped to the environment you agree with us. Not every topic applies to every business, and we skip what does not.

  • Cost: where the money goes

We read your bills and Azure Advisor’s findings, then look past them: idle and oversized resources, whether Reservations or Savings Plans fit your steady usage, and where tags are missing so nobody can say who owns a cost.

  • Budgets and alerts

A budget with alert emails so a surprise shows up in days, not on next month’s invoice. Alerts warn you; they do not automatically stop spending.

  • A sound foundation

Subscriptions, naming, tagging and who can do what. A small-business version of a landing zone, checked against the Azure Well-Architected Framework: cost, security, reliability, operations and performance.

  • Infrastructure as code

Your environment described in Bicep or Terraform, kept in a repository, so a rebuild is repeatable and the setup is written down rather than lived in one person’s head.

  • Change control

Changes go through a pull request: someone reads the change, approves it and there is a record of who and when. Right-sized for a small team, not enterprise process.

  • Sign-in and Microsoft 365 basics

Who has access to what in Entra and Microsoft 365, stale accounts and over-broad roles. We write down what we see; your IT provider confirms and changes security settings.

  • Backup posture, as observations

Whether backups appear to exist for the resources we review. We report what we observe. We do not test restores, certify anything or manage backups.

  • Migrations

Moving an agreed app, server or set of files to Azure, or sizing one before you commit. Quoted around your actual workload, never a flat price for an unknown.

  • Azure AI, in your own account

One AI use case on Foundry or Azure OpenAI with sign-in-only access, logging and a budget with alerts. Your data stays in your tenant.

Straight answers before you book.

Will you cut our Azure bill?

We find where money is going and recommend what to change, with the trade-offs. We cannot promise a saving, and nothing changes without your approval. Making the changes is a separate scope, quoted or booked as hours.

Do you manage our cloud for us?

No. We review, set up and hand over. We do not sell managed services, monitoring or 24/7 support. After handover, your team or existing provider runs it, and extra help is booked hours.

Do you only work on Azure?

Azure is where our certifications are. We also work in AWS and Google Cloud. The same questions apply there: where the money goes, who can change what and whether it can be rebuilt. AWS and Google Cloud reviews are quoted around your accounts.

What access do you need?

Read-only access to the subscription or account for a review, granted by you and removed at handover. We do not need your passwords. Anything that changes your environment is agreed in writing first.

We are small. Is Azure even right for us?

Sometimes it is not. If your tools fit in Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, the honest answer may be to keep what you have. We say so, and the check-up credit is not wasted: it comes off the project if you go ahead.

Can you check our backups or security?

We note what we can see, such as whether a backup appears to be configured, and pass it to your IT provider. We do not audit, test or certify security or backups.
